Lyrids Festival Preview April 23, 2015
Harold Bishop Elementary School 15670-104 Avenue, Surrey, BC, CanadaToday we welcome Steve Kotansky teaching Balkan dances and Mihai David teaching Romanian dances. This will be a preview of the Lyrids Folk Dance Festival. Beginners are welcome. 3 hours of dancing! Please note the different location than our usual Thursday night dancing. Access the parking from 156 St. This is the view as you drive south on 156 St from 104 Ave. Turn left into the lane just past the yellow clothing bins. If you miss the turn, turn around somewhere. Summer BBQ August 7, 2016
Don's Farm 25133 0 Ave, Aldergrove, BC, CanadaJoin us for dancing at our Summer BBQ. All lower mainland folk dancers invited! Again this year is square dancing from 7-9pm, led by Brent Mawdsley. There will be a mixture of square dancing, circle mixers, and one or two line dances. RSVP The annual Farm Tour will begin promptly at 3pm. Bring sensible shoes. Folk Dancing will begin after the tour at about 4pm. Dinner at 6pm is pot-luck. Dale will bring chicken for the BBQ. Bring salad, appetizers, beverages, desserts, etc. Square Dancing from 7-9pm.
